Semana Internacional do Cerebro, 11 a 18 de Março de 2017
Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is a global campaign that promotes awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. This initiative was founded by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives and the European Dana Alliance for the Brain. Each year in March, the global efforts of scientific societies, universities, government agencies and other organizations are joined to develop dissemination activities for a week. SPN in collaboration with Ciência Viva participates in this collective effort by organizing and coordinating activities throughout the country.
To explain in a simple way how the brain works, teaching professionals can rely on an interactive learning system with a neurostimulator to perform experiments on a nerve cell. This system has been developed by the German company PHYWE, the system consists of a neuronal unit, Neurosimulator, which serves to simulate a generalized nerve cell with an apical dendrite and its synaptic contacts, a cell body (soma) and a nerve fiber (axon) With myelin toppings and a Ranvier ring.

You can find also several brain models in our website
